How do I make an appointment for a student?

Students need to call to make an appointment for themselves. Students can also walk in for a consultation or schedule their appointments between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.  


Can I access the student's mental health information?

All Counseling Center records are confidential in accordance with Iowa mental health law. Student records can only be released to a third party with a student’s  written consent. For more details, please refer to our confidentiality policy

After Hours Crisis/Emergency

In case of immediate danger: Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

For urgent situations outside of office hours: Call the Counseling Center at (319) 273-2676 and press 2 to speak to a crisis counselor.
