The UNI Counseling Center presents: In My Shoes

An exhibit featuring works of creative writing and other forms of art that address individual differences and emotional wellness. All current UNI and Hawkeye students are able to have their work on display as appropriate. 

If you are interested in submitting a creative writing piece or another work of art for display in the exhibt, please follow the directions below.


Submission Instructions

The creative writing piece and/or other work of art should "explore how being different affects your life as a college student and your emotional wellness". All works that explore connections between emotional health, race, gender, religion, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and ability are highly encouraged.

Please send all pieces of creative writing to as a Microsoft Word or PDF file. Physical works of art can be photographed and sent to as a .png or .jpg file. The physical work of art may be able to be displayed as well depending on size and if the participant desires.

The deadline for submission has been extended to Sunday, January 31st  by 11:59 p.m.
